Tap a square or drag Mayor Smit. Hold for a note.
The cards
Pick a person by tapping the photo on their card, the victim too. Then tap a square to put them there, or drag the photo onto it. At this difficulty the game does not cross off rows and columns for you, unless you switch on Cross off for me. Holding a square, or switching the pencil on, makes a note. Keyboard: Enter places, Shift and Enter makes a note.
- Mayor SmitSelected
He was in a room with one woman.
He was beside a barrel.
- Gavin
He was beside the presents.
- Nadia
She was either beside the snowman or the bar.
- Jamal
He was with Nadia in the skating square.
He was in the skating square, beside a bench.
- Leah
She was alone.
- Otis
He was the only person in the Christmas square.
His column lay between Nadia’s and Mayor Smit’s.
He was not beside a barrel, a stall or a lantern.
- Esther
The victim. She was alone with the murderer, in a room with nobody else in it.
Good to know
- Beside: on one of the four squares directly above, below, left or right, in the same room. Diagonally does not count, and neither does through a wall. A window or door in the wall of your square is beside you.
- Alone: nobody else in the same room, the victim included. Alone with someone: those two, and nobody else in that room.
- In a room with two men: exactly two men in the same room, no more and no fewer. The person themself does not count, the victim does.
Place everyone first, the victim too.
If it is not right yet, checking costs 30 seconds and does not say how many are wrong.
