Tap a square or drag Countess Olivia. Hold for a note.
The cards
Pick a person by tapping the photo on their card, the victim too. Then tap a square to put them there, or drag the photo onto it. At this difficulty the game does not cross off rows and columns for you, unless you switch on Cross off for me. Holding a square, or switching the pencil on, makes a note. Keyboard: Enter places, Shift and Enter makes a note.
- Countess OliviaSelected
She was in the dungeon or in the south tower.
- Anton
He was further left than Lisa.
- Beth
She was beside a lantern.
She was in the south tower or in the throne room.
- Ezra
He was in a corner of the throne room.
He was either beside the suit of armour or the throne.
He was lower down on the plan than Anton.
- Lisa
She was either beside the horse or the suit of armour.
- Malcolm
He was beside the window.
- Stella
She was alone.
- Roderick
The victim. He was on the one square nobody else can have, in the same room as the murderer.
Good to know
- Beside: on one of the four squares directly above, below, left or right, in the same room. Diagonally does not count, and neither does through a wall. A window or door in the wall of your square is beside you.
- Higher up on the plan than someone: in a higher row, in any column. The same goes for lower down, further left and further right.
- Alone: nobody else in the same room, the victim included. Alone with someone: those two, and nobody else in that room.
- In a corner: on a square of that room where two of its walls meet. The end of a narrow corridor counts too.
Place everyone first, the victim too.
If it is not right yet, checking costs 30 seconds and does not say how many are wrong.
