Tap a square or drag Alfie. Hold for a note.
The cards
Pick a person by tapping the photo on their card, the victim too. Then tap a square to put them there, or drag the photo onto it. At this difficulty the game does not cross off rows and columns for you, unless you switch on Cross off for me. Holding a square, or switching the pencil on, makes a note. Keyboard: Enter places, Shift and Enter makes a note.
- AlfieSelected
He was in the castle kitchen, beside the cat.
- Bridget
Her column lay between Imogen’s and Tamsin’s.
- Connor
He was beside the window.
- Imogen
She was in a corner of the throne room.
She was in a room with one woman.
- Seth
He was in the leftmost column.
He was in a room with the cooker.
- Tamsin
She was in a corner of the stables.
- Margaret
The victim. She was alone with the murderer, in a room with nobody else in it.
Good to know
- Beside: on one of the four squares directly above, below, left or right, in the same room. Diagonally does not count, and neither does through a wall. A window or door in the wall of your square is beside you.
- In a corner: on a square of that room where two of its walls meet. The end of a narrow corridor counts too.
- In a room with two men: exactly two men in the same room, no more and no fewer. The person themself does not count, the victim does.
Place everyone first, the victim too.
