Tap a square or drag Captain White. Hold for a note.
The cards
Pick a person by tapping the photo on their card, the victim too. Then tap a square to put them there, or drag the photo onto it. At this difficulty the game does not cross off rows and columns for you, unless you switch on Cross off for me. Holding a square, or switching the pencil on, makes a note. Keyboard: Enter places, Shift and Enter makes a note.
- Captain WhiteSelected

- Naomi

She was either beside the ship's wheel or the buffet.
- Hassan
He was the only person in the cabin.
- Rose
She was either beside a deckchair or a spotlight.
She was not beside a potted palm, the telescope or a bed.
- Toby
He was alone.
He was beside a deckchair.
- Emma
She was in the same column as the floor lamp.
She was in the show lounge, beside a seat.

Good to know
- Beside: on one of the four squares directly above, below, left or right, in the same room. Diagonally does not count, and neither does through a wall. A window or door in the wall of your square is beside you.
- Alone: nobody else in the same room, the victim included. Alone with someone: those two, and nobody else in that room.
- In a corner: on a square of that room where two of its walls meet. The end of a narrow corridor counts too.
Place everyone first, the victim too.
If it is not right yet, checking costs 30 seconds and does not say how many are wrong.
