The cards
Pick a person by tapping the photo on their card, the victim too. Then tap a square to put them there, or drag the photo onto it. At this difficulty the game does not cross off rows and columns for you, unless you switch on Cross off for me. Holding a square, or switching the pencil on, makes a note. Keyboard: Enter places, Shift and Enter makes a note.
- RafiSelected
He was in the hall, beside a rug.
- Jasper
He was in the painting gallery, beside the rope barrier.
- Omar
He was alone.
- Lottie
She was not beside the skeleton, a bin or the coat rack.
She was alone with Jasper.
- Faris
He was east of Rafi.
He was in a corner of the hall.
- Emily
She was either beside the skeleton or the rope barrier.
- the night guard
The victim. He was on the one square nobody else can have, in the same room as the murderer.
Good to know
- Beside: on one of the four squares directly above, below, left or right, in the same room. Diagonally does not count, and neither does through a wall. A window or door in the wall of your square is beside you.
- North of someone: in a higher row, in any column. The same goes for south, east and west.
- Alone: nobody else in the same room, the victim included. Alone with someone: those two, and nobody else in that room.
- In a corner: on a square of that room where two of its walls meet. The end of a narrow corridor counts too.
Place everyone first, the victim too.
