Tap a square or drag Theo. Hold for a note.
The cards
Pick a person by tapping the photo on their card, the victim too. Then tap a square to put them there, or drag the photo onto it. At this difficulty the game doesn’t cross off rows and columns for you, unless you switch on Cross off for me. Holding a square, or switching the pencil on, makes a note. Keyboard: Enter places, Shift and Enter makes a note.
- TheoSelected

- Rosa
She was on the green screen stage, beside the camera.
- Felix
He was not beside a spotlight, a shrub or a crate.
He was alone.
He was beside a window.
- Callum
He was with Otis on the big stage.
- Priya
She was sitting in a director's chair.
- Iris
She was alone.
- Otis
He was either beside a director's chair or beside a crate.
- Mr Baker
The victim. He was on the one square nobody else can have, in the same room as the murderer.
Good to know
- Beside: on one of the four squares directly above, below, left or right, in the same room. Diagonally doesn’t count, and neither does through a wall. A window or door in the wall of your square is beside you.
- Alone, or the only person in a room: nobody else in that room, the victim included. Alone with someone: those two, and nobody else in that room.
- In a corner: on a square of that room where two of its walls meet. The end of a narrow corridor counts too.
