The cards
Pick a person by tapping the photo on their card, the victim too. Then tap a square to put them there, or drag the photo onto it. Their row and column are crossed off for you. Holding a square, or switching the pencil on, makes a note. Keyboard: Enter places, Shift and Enter makes a note.

Good to know
- Beside: on one of the four squares directly above, below, left or right, in the same room. Diagonally doesn’t count, and neither does through a wall. A window or door in the wall of your square is beside you.
- Alone, or the only person in a room: nobody else in that room, the victim included. Alone with someone: those two, and nobody else in that room.
- In a corner: on a square of that room where two of its walls meet. The end of a narrow corridor counts too.
- The largest room: the room with the most squares, furniture included. The smallest: the one with the fewest.
